Ridge after ridge, each one paler than the last. The Cherokee called the Great Smoky Mountains Shaconage — ‘place of the blue smoke’ — and the haze that gave them their name comes from the forest itself, breathed out by millions of trees. Layered Mist captures that view in crystal: a tall green phantom quartz tower, its ghostly inner layers stacked like distant ridgelines, rises over pale green fluorite, clear quartz and a rough stem of green epidote, on a bed of clear quartz chips with frost-white botanicals, in a sand-textured white pedestal bowl.
One of one. This is the exact garden in the photos — arranged by hand and photographed just as it is. There is only one; once it finds a home, it’s gone.
The energy
Growth, one clear layer at a time. Green phantom quartz is long associated with growth and steady progress, clear quartz with clarity, and fluorite with focus. Together they make a garden for the season you’re building something — a quiet reminder that every layer counts.
- Green phantom quartz — Look closely and you’ll see crystals inside the crystal. Each ‘phantom’ marks a moment when the quartz paused, a fine dusting of green chlorite settled on its faces, and then growth began again. In crystal lore, phantom quartz is associated with growth and progress — a stone that keeps a record of every stage it grew through.
- Green fluorite — Its name comes from the Latin fluere, ‘to flow’, and it gave its name to fluorescence. A favorite of students in crystal lore, long associated with focus and order.
- Epidote — Named from the Greek epidosis, ‘increase’, for the way one side of its crystal grows longer than the other. In crystal lore, epidote is associated with growth and positivity.
- Clear quartz — Known in crystal lore as the ‘master stone’, long associated with clarity. The ancient Greeks called it krystallos — ‘ice’ — believing it was water frozen so deeply it could never thaw.

How to live with it
Where it shines: A desk, a study shelf or a bright bookcase — anywhere you plan, learn or build. The white bowl keeps it light and airy against wood or stone.
A next-step ritual: At the start of each week, trace the layers of the phantom tower from bottom to top and name one step — just one — you’ll take this week.
Size
Bowl approx. 13 cm (5.1 in) across; the crystals rise above the rim.
How it arrives: To travel safely, your garden ships in pieces — each crystal wrapped on its own, nothing glued — with a photo of this exact arrangement, so you can set it up just as you see it here.
Care
- Keep indoors and dry; dust gently with a soft, dry brush or a puff of air.
- Keep out of strong, direct sunlight to protect the colors of the stones and botanicals.
- Contains small parts and natural stones — not a toy. Keep away from young children and pets.
- Fluorite is soft (Mohs 4) and can fade in strong sun — handle it gently.
- The botanicals are delicate — dust them lightly with a soft brush.
A gift with meaning
For graduations, new jobs and promotions — or anyone building something one layer at a time. In modern crystal lore, fluorite is often paired with Pisces and Capricorn.
One of one, by nature: every crystal here is genuine natural stone, arranged by hand — the garden in these photos is the one you’ll receive. Crystal meanings reflect folklore and tradition — we share them as symbolism, not promises.
